Hispanic Access Foundation (HAF) Founder, President, and CEO Maite Arce, a leader at the intersection of Latino advocacy and conservation, has joined the nonprofit funders’ network Rachel’s Network as an advisor. Maite guides HAF in its mission to build bridges that connect Latino communities with the opportunities and partners they need for a better life.
Rachel’s Network members serve on the boards of many different environmental and conservation organizations. We help members like Kimberley reach their potential as funders, board members, and advocates through a board placement program, events, connections to experts, and discussion forums.
Women join Rachel’s Network for all kinds of reasons: for ideas, for support, for access to leading environmental thinkers. Member Elena Marszalek joined the Network in 2015 seeking peers and mentors to help her along her journey as Director of Del Mar Global Trust. We asked Elena about her experience with the Network.
Green 2.0 Executive Director Whitney Tome, a leading voice in the effort for greater inclusion and diversity in the environmental field, has joined Rachel’s Network as an Advisor. Through Green 2.0, Whitney has published the most comprehensive report on diversity in the environmental movement and works with partners to increase their data transparency, accountability, and action.
Ocean Conservancy CEO Janis Searles Jones, a lawyer, advocate and marine conservation expert, has joined the nonprofit funders’ network Rachel’s Network as a Leadership Liaison. Janis leads Ocean Conservancy’s work on tackling the pervasive and growing problem of marine debris, risky oil and gas development in places like the Arctic, climate change and ocean acidification, sustainable fisheries, and more.
