Join 2022 Catalyst Awardee Zulene Mayfield to learn about her work for environmental justice and health in Chester, PA. Since 1992, Zulene has led Chester Residents Concerned for Quality Living (CRCQL), a group of residents battling environmental racism. In the last 30 years, CRCQL has successfully fought off the nation’s largest processor of infectious medical waste, three proposed tire burning facilities, two processors of contaminated soil, and a large pet crematorium, to name a few.
